Sequoia at Digital Day Belarus 2024

Sequoia at Digital Day

Not even three days had passed since we returned from conferences in Rome and Munich, and we were already gearing up for another one, this time in Belarus.

On June 13th, the Digital Day Belarus 2024 conference took place in Minsk. Sequoia participated, introducing attendees to our project and discussing the importance of men's health. But let’s take it step by step.

What is Digital Day Belarus?

Digital Day Belarus is the premier digital and SMM event in Belarus, dedicated to modern advertising tools and online business promotion.

The conference, now in its seventh year, gathered 500 participants, 12 top speakers, and over 20 experts who shared up-to-date knowledge and practical advice on digital marketing and SMM from morning till evening.

Sequoia’s Participation

Besides the speaker presentations, an exhibition was held where various companies showcased their products. Sequoia was one of them. We set up a vibrant stand with two large banners and a neon Sequoia sign that attracted the attention of all attendees.

For Digital Day, we created a large Sequoia sticker pack, which we handed out along with "Life begins at erection" stickers to everyone who approached our stand.

Speaking of those who approached, we counted 60 people this time. For a conference of 500 participants, we think that’s not bad. Interestingly, the majority were women — about 90%.

Some were simply curious, some said they would install the app for their boyfriend, others for their husband. But everyone agreed it was a very important and useful product and expressed their support. Some even wrote about their encounter with Sequoia on their social media. It was very gratifying.

Men, on the other hand, approached less frequently. Those who did were mainly representing other companies and were looking for potential collaboration opportunities. This again proves that the topic of men's health is very taboo among Belarusians, and we still have a lot of work to do to break this stigma. But that’s precisely why Sequoia was created.

Expert Council

In addition to participating in the exhibition, I joined the expert council and conducted a video master class where I shared my experience in promoting Sequoia. The presentation was called "Promoting a Startup in the International Market with (Almost) No Money." I explained how to make your product recognizable using free tools such as social media, communities, events, research, press releases, and partnerships. The video is almost 50 minutes long and will be available to all conference participants shortly after it ends.

Summary

It is a great honor for us to represent Sequoia not only in international markets but also at home. Thanks to the organizers and my SMM teacher Sergey Kuzmenko for the opportunity.

In conclusion, I want to quote the host Vladimir Nesmachny about Sequoia: "Girls are the best reminder of why such projects are needed." And you can't say it better than that.
