Hello everyone!
We've flown from Rome to Munich and are getting ready for the upcoming Health.tech conference. Unlike the previous two, this event is purely technological.
What is Health.tech?
The Health.tech 2024 conference is one of the leading European platforms for discussing innovations in healthcare.
This year, the event is expected to host 3,500 participants, including over 2,000 executives and 400 investors from more than 60 countries.
The conference program includes presentations by leading HealthTech experts, panel discussions, masterclasses, and a startup exhibition.
The event will also provide networking opportunities and meetings to help participants find clients, investors, and partners.
This year, the conference will be held on June 5-6 at the International Congress Center Munich (ICM).
Star Speakers
In various years, Health.tech has featured speakers such as Richard Branson (British entrepreneur, founder of Virgin Group, which includes around 400 companies), Tarana Burke (American activist, feminist, and founder of the "Me Too" movement), Barack Obama (44th President of the United States), Arnold Schwarzenegger (American bodybuilder, entrepreneur, actor, producer, and politician), and others.
This year, the conference will also feature outstanding speakers known in the fields of healthcare and technology. Here are some of them:
- Bernard J. Tyson – Chairman and CEO of Kaiser Permanente, one of the largest integrated healthcare systems in the US.
- Stephen Klasko – President and CEO of Thomas Jefferson University and Jefferson Health, known for his contributions to healthcare transformation through innovation and technology.
- Karen DeSalvo – Chief Health Officer at Google, formerly Assistant Secretary for Health at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
These and other speakers will discuss the latest technologies and trends in healthcare, including artificial intelligence, telemedicine, and digital transformation of medical services.
Sequoia Among the Leaders
As I mentioned in a previous post, Sequoia was selected to present its project at the startup exhibition. Our exhibition day is June 6.
To ensure the exhibition day is as productive as possible, we prepared two large roll-ups and printed 400 stickers.
As an experiment, we tried distributing them at the conference in Rome. Instead of handing them out, we placed them on tables after sessions and observed people's reactions.
The result exceeded our expectations: in 9 out of 10 cases, people took the stickers.
Of course, as the stickers say, "LIFE BEGINS AT ERECTION." Few people remained indifferent after reading that.
Summary
Overall, we expect a lot of networking, valuable connections, new knowledge, stickers on people's MacBooks, and, consequently, a boost for Sequoia from Health.tech.
We'll share the results later. Wish us luck!
