We are delighted to share some exciting news: Sequoia has become a member of the World Association for Sexual Health (WAS). This is a particularly joyous milestone for us.
What is WAS?
The World Association for Sexual Health (WAS) is an international umbrella organization that unites sexologists and specialists in the field of sexual health worldwide.
It is referred to as an "umbrella" organization because it brings together other organizations, companies, and legal entities working within the same domain to coordinate their efforts collaboratively.
As a result, the entire Sequoia company, including our doctors and medical specialists, is now a member of WAS.

The Main Goals and Activities of WAS
The association's primary goal is to improve people's sexual health and education.
Its main activities include:
- Creating and promoting sexual health policies
- Organizing international congresses and conferences
- Hosting World Sexual Health Day (celebrated on September 4)
Sequoia’s Journey to WAS Membership
The process of being accepted into the association took about a year and a half.
Initially, we reached out to its representatives and even arranged a consultation with WAS President Elna Rudolph. Later, we were fortunate to meet her in person at the World Meeting for Sexual Medicine in Dubai. During this meeting, Elna acknowledged that our contributions to sexual health were sufficient for Sequoia to qualify for membership in WAS.
The application process was long and rigorous. Besides filling out forms and questionnaires, we had to provide recommendations from at least two professors of sexology and one current member of the association.
Then came the waiting period: it took five months for our application to be reviewed and finally approved. However, the wait was worth it.

What Does WAS Membership Offer Us?
WAS provides its members with access to a wealth of resources, including knowledge databases, educational materials, scientific publications, and opportunities to participate in conferences.
For Sequoia, this membership also serves as a significant social milestone. Together with our partnership with the United Nations, being part of WAS reinforces our global status and underscores our commitment to upholding high standards in sexual health. This recognition opens up new opportunities for collaboration with international organizations, companies, and potential investors.
